Signed into law in March 2010, the Affordable Care Act (ACA) is the most sweeping legislation passed by Congress since the adoption of Medicare in the 1960’s. The law intends to address certain fundamental issues with our current healthcare system. Implementation of the ACA has been staggered in 2011, 2012, and 2013 with the major transformational changes taking effect in January 2014.
